• The Strokes were in Avatar's Studio A recording their fourth studio album with producer Joe Chiccarelli (White Stripes, Shins, My Morning Jacket) for release this September. They released the first installment of a new video series documenting the process.
  





• Nikki Yanofsky recorded "I Believe" at Avatar Studios. The song is the anthem for the 2010 Winter Olympics being held in Vancouver, Canada.
  
  


• The 52nd Annual Grammy Award ceremony took place on January 31. Out of the 15 nominees who recorded at Avatar, Bruce Springstreen won Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for "Working On A Dream" (see his video shot in Avatar's Studio C) and Brendan O'Brien, who produced the album, won Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. We would like to congratulate them both as well as all the nominees.
  


• Hiromi Uehara, the fabulous jazz pianist-composer, is releasing her first solo piano album titled, Place To Be, recorded in Studio C. Check out her EPK video.
