We will be giving free tours of the
studio during CMJ, between Tuesday and Friday starting from 10
AM. The last tour will be at 9:30 PM. Typically mornings are better
if you want to see all the rooms. Tours are subject to room availability.
Reservations will be required in advance for a particular time
slot. Each tour will be half-an-hour long. All bands that take
the tour will be automatically entered in the free 10-hour studio
time drawing with the winner announced on Friday.
Avatar has been around for over 30
years, initially as the Power Station. Over 400 Gold & Platinum
albums have been recorded here with artists such as Aerosmith,
Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Roxy Music,
John Mayer, Muse, My Morning Jacket, Ryan Adams, The Hold Steady,
The Academy Is, and lots more!
